Dear Owners and Residents,
Jenkins Painting will be on-site Sept. 1-9, to perform fascia, soffit, and front and back porch painting in addition to replacing some wood on the front and back porches. Work is scheduled to take place between 8 AM and 6 PM each day except Saturday, 9/5 and Monday, 9/7.
Please see the following schedule for the date your home will be worked on. Please note that some units made need an additional day of work and weather may delay work.

To complete this work, crews may need access to backyards, driveways, and all sides of homes. Please ensure that back gates are unlocked to allow entry.
In preparation for the painting, we ask that residents please:
- Close all windows, doors, and garage doors
- Secure or bring in pets
- Remove or secure personal belongings from the work areas
- Clear items away from the perimeter of your home
- Store trash and recycling containers inside your garage (do not leave them in driveways or between homes)
- Turn off any sprinkler systems
These steps will help ensure that the work is completed safely and efficiently.

Why this project now?
When the roofs were replaced in the summer of 2025, many fascia boards and roof decking (soffit) were replaced. While those boards were primed and/or protected from the weather, they need to be painted to match the homes.
In addition, several homes have rotted railings on the front and back porches that need to be replaced. The last time the fascia, porches, and trim were painted was in 2016.
Project goals
- Paint all fascia and trim on all homes
- Paint all replaced soffit on all homes
- Replace any rotted wood on front and/or back porches
- Paint front and back porches
How was the company selected?
A board member reached out to eight painting companies in early August. Two were booked through the end of the painting season (October). One declined to take on a project due to the size and one returned the inquiry too late. Four companies met with a board member to discuss the scope of the project and provided bids.
All companies received excellent ratings through Google, Yelp, and other websites. All companies are licensed, bonded, and insured.
At the August 24 work meeting, the HOA board chose to go with Jenkins Painting because they provided a detailed bid, have been in business for 24 years, were friendly and knowledgeable, want to build a relationship with us for future projects, and provided a competitive price.
What is soffit?
Soffit is the underside of an architectural structure such as an arch, a balcony, or overhanging eaves.
What is fascia?
Fascia is a board or other flat piece of material covering the ends of rafters or other fittings. See below for an example of painted and unpainted fascia.
What are some examples of front and back porches that need to be repaired?
