Sprinkler system is back on – please watch for leaks

The sprinkler system has been turned on for the summer; please watch out for leaks and broken sprinkler heads.

The sprinkler system was turned on in late May for the summer. As everything comes back online, we may see a few leaks or broken sprinkler heads.

If you notice anything unusual—water pooling, spraying in the wrong direction, or a head not popping up—please send an e-mail to robinmeadowshoa@gmail.com with the location, a description of the issue, and a picture of the issue.

We’re working within a $10,000 irrigation budget, so catching issues early helps us stay on track and reduce water waste.

Board members will continue the audit of the sprinkler system that was started in the summer of 2025 to make sure we are using our water wisely and effectively. Two large water leaks were found and fixed last summer with the fixes preventing thousands of dollars of wasted water.

Update on leaf cleanup

Robin Meadows is experiencing an unusually heavy leaf fall this year.

As you’ve likely noticed, Robin Meadows’ many beautiful trees have dropped an exceptional amount of leaves this fall. So far, New Life Landscaping has hauled away more than 15 cubic yards of leaves—that’s roughly three full pickup truck loads—and even provided an extra day of service at no additional cost to the HOA.

Despite these efforts, the volume of leaf fall this year has been, in their words, “insane” and “significantly heavier and more condensed than usual.” Because of this, some temporary piles of leaves remain in lower-traffic areas where they’ll have the least impact on residents.

New Life Landscaping expects to have the situation fully under control within the next two weeks. New Life Landscaping appreciates your patience and understanding as they work through this unusually heavy cleanup season.

New landscaping company and service day change

Landscaping service day changing from Friday to Wednesday beginning October 1.

Beginning Wednesday, October 1, the HOA will be partnering with a new local landscaping company, New Life Landscaping, based here in Hillsboro. With this change, our landscaping service day will move from Fridays to Wednesdays.

This new partnership not only supports a local business but also saves our HOA $325 per month ($3,900 per year), freeing up valuable funds for other projects in the neighborhood.

New Life Landscaping has requested that residents pick up any personal belongings from landscaped areas on service days. This helps ensure items don’t become hazards for the crew or risk being damaged during maintenance.
