Reminders

SATELLITE DISHES
Owners are reminded that satellite dish installations require ARC approval and must be placed in a way that minimizes visibility according to the CC&Rs.

PETS
Owners and residents are reminded that they are responsible for picking up the waste of any pets from common areas. We all share the same spaces, we all want clean shoes, and we all want to see clean grass around our neighborhood. Also please remember pets are not allowed to run at large per the CC&Rs and local leash laws.

If you need an immediate response to a pet concern, please contact Animal Control or Code Enforcement.

FOR SALE SIGNS
An Owner may erect one (1) sign not exceeding two (2) feet by three (3) feet in dimension, fastened only to a stake in the ground and extending not more than three (3) feet above the surface of the ground advertising the property for sale.

DRYER/KITCHEN VENT CLEANING
Don’t forget to clean out your dryer or kitchen vents. This is an owner’s responsibility. Clogged dryer vents can reduce dryer effectiveness and lead to fires.

SUPPLY LINE FAILURE
The toilet supply lines with plastic caps have been known to fail. If a line fails while no one is home, the flooding can cause substantial damage. When in doubt, replace the supply lines. Supply lines can be found at Lowe’s or Home Depot.

MAIN WATER SHUTOFF
Identify where the main water shutoff is in your unit. Water leaks can escalate
quickly, you do not want to spend valuable time looking for this when you need to shut the water off.

OUTSIDE WATER BIBS
In the winter, make sure to cover outside water bibs with insulating covers that can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. This helps prevent burst water pipes.

EXTERIOR VENTS
Make sure to cover exterior vents to prevent pests from getting in. Owners are responsible for damage caused by birds or other pests getting inside.

SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL
Each homeowner is responsible for the removal of snow and ice from their own lot.

Safety Tips

INSTALL KITCHEN RANGE ANTI-TIP BRACKET
A kitchen range anti-tip bracket is a single or two-piece device, supplied by the range manufacturer, which must be installed at the base, behind the range. It helps to prevent the range from tipping over or tilting while pressure is applied to the open oven door. All ranges should be equipped with this device in order to prevent serious injuries or death.

CHANGE BATTERIES IN SMOKE ALARMS TWICE A YEAR
At least twice/year install new batteries in battery only-operated smoke detectors and test them per manufacturer’s instructions to ensure proper operation. Replace any battery-operated smoke detector that is older than 10 years to ensure reliable performance.

PURCHASE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS FOR YOUR HOME TO HELP KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE FROM FIRE
Fire extinguishers can be used to provide immediate protection against small fires if they are available and accessible when needed. To help provide this protection, class 2A-10BC fire extinguishers should be on hand and placed where they are clearly visible in case of emergency. Fire extinguishers should also be inspected monthly to help maintain reliability.
